Ask each platform to show how an opportunity becomes demand, how demand links to assignments and how delivered work reaches billing. A shared label does not prove that the underlying records stay connected.
Planning depth
Test a staffing scenario involving overlapping work, leave and an uncertain start date. Check whether the planning view reflects actual constraints rather than only a list of available employees.
Delivery coverage
Walk through a milestone at risk. Review how effort, RAID items and resource availability inform the decision, and whether the project owner can act without rebuilding the picture outside the platform.
Financial traceability
Ask to trace one blocked amount to the approval, rate or billing exception behind it. Separate confirmed transactions from estimates in every comparison.
AI evaluation
Inspect the evidence behind a recommended staffing option or risk signal. Compare the ability to explain an output and assign a next action, not simply the presence of an AI label.
Integration fit
Compare connector availability, field mapping, failure handling and implementation effort for your actual systems. These requirements should be confirmed for each shortlisted provider.
Usability and adoption
Ask recruiters, planners, delivery managers and finance users to complete a representative task. Observe what information they can find and what still requires a spreadsheet or separate conversation.
Commercial comparison
Compare licenses, implementation, integration work and ongoing responsibilities on the same scope. Publicly unsupported prices or competitor limitations are not assumed here.
